✨ Fluent Welsh Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Llanelli
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for a Fluent Welsh Learning Support Assistant to join a warm and supportive school in the Llanelli area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning in a Welsh-medium setting.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work with pupils across the school, providing support in the classroom, small groups, and occasionally on a 1:1 basis. You will help learners access the curriculum, develop confidence, and reach their full potential—all through the Welsh language.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning through fluent Welsh
- Assist pupils with classwork, activities, and engagement
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
- Support pupils’ wellbeing and promote positive behaviour
- Collaborate with the class teacher and wider staff team
- Help prepare resources and maintain a nurturing learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- Fluent Welsh speaker (essential)
- Experience working with children (school, childcare, or youth settings)
- Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- LSA/TA qualifications are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
