Full-time / Part-time / Flexible Hours Available
February 2026 | £13.75 - £14.75 per hour

Are you a caring, adaptable, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a role that offers flexibility and meaningful impact? We’re seeking dedicated SEN TAs to support children with additional needs in a warm, inclusive primary school in the Halewood area.

About the Role

As a Flexible SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for children with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, and learning difficulties.
  • Help create a nurturing, structured environment that supports emotional regulation and learning.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENDCO, and external professionals to deliver tailored support.
  • Assist with classroom activities, sensory strategies, and behaviour support plans.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to help them feel safe, confident, and motivated.

This role would suit someone who is patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping children with diverse needs reach their full potential.


Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience supporting children with SEN (school, nursery, residential or youth settings all considered).
  • Is flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to the changing needs of the school day.
  • Has strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Can remain calm, encouraging, and positive in challenging situations.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to apply).
