EYFS Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Position
Location: Widnes, WA8
Start Date: February 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term (with opportunity to become permanent)
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

The Role – EYFS Teaching Assistant
We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children in Reception. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with early phonics, language development, and numeracy
- Assisting with child-led and play-based learning
- Leading small groups and providing 1:1 support where needed
- Supporting the class teacher with planning, preparation, and assessments
- Helping maintain an engaging, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

The Ideal Candidate
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have experience in an EYFS/primary school setting (school-based or nursery)
- Hold a relevant childcare/TA qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)
- Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Are proactive, patient, nurturing, and creative
- Can work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
- Hold (or are willing to obtain) an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS
