Job description

Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs? We are looking for a caring and committed individual to join our warm and inclusive school in Salford.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and patient TA to work within our Early Years Foundation Stage, providing tailored support to children with a range of additional needs. You will play a vital role in helping our youngest learners feel safe, included, and ready to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with SEN, including those with communication, social, and developmental needs.

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging, play-based activities.

  • Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development.

  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external agencies to implement individual support plans.

  • Contribute to a calm, inclusive and purposeful learning environment.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has previous experience working in EYFS and supporting children with SEN (essential).

  • Is passionate about early childhood development and inclusive education.

  • Can build strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and staff.

  • Is patient, flexible, and responsive to the needs of individual children.

  • Holds a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
