Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant (EYFS) | Sapcote (LE9)

SEN Teaching Assistant – EYFS
Sapcote (LE9)
Competitive daily rate | Flexible work available

At Teaching Personnel, we pride ourselves on building genuine relationships with both our schools and our educators — and we’re currently looking for someone really special to join us.

We’re working closely with a number of lovely primary schools in the Sapcote area, and they’re looking for a nurturing, patient and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support children within EYFS. These are settings where you’re not just an extra pair of hands — you’re a key part of a child’s early development journey.

This role will involve supporting young children with additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties and developmental delays. You’ll spend your time working closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them build confidence, develop communication skills and feel safe and supported in their environment.

What really matters here isn’t just experience - it’s your approach. The schools we work with are looking for someone who is calm, consistent and genuinely passionate about helping children thrive at such a crucial stage in their lives. If you’ve worked in EYFS or supported children with SEN before, that’s fantastic - but equally, if you have the right attitude and transferable experience, we’d love to hear from you.

Working with Teaching Personnel means you’ll have ongoing support from a consultant who actually takes the time to get to know you, alongside access to training, flexible work options and opportunities to secure something longer-term if that’s what you’re looking for.

If this sounds like the kind of role where you’d really make a difference, apply today - we’d love to chat.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
