Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct 1-1 or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of ESOL students, including those speaking Palestinian Arabic and Ukrainian.
  • Customize lesson plans to address language learning challenges while highlighting students' strengths.
  • Foster confidence and fluency in English among ESOL students.
  • Build strong, positive relationships to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
  • Experience working with ESOL students, especially those speaking Palestinian Arabic and Ukrainian.
  • Proficiency in teaching English language skills, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and build rapport with students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on students' lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
