Job description

TP Tutors – ESOL Tutor Opportunity – Solihull

TP Tutors is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated ESOL Tutor to support learners in the Solihull area. Tuition will take place in either learners’ homes, community settings, or school environments during daytime hours.

Role Overview

As an ESOL Tutor, you will deliver tailored English language support to learners whose first language is not English. You will help students improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, supporting them to build confidence and progress in their education, employment, or everyday life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and structured ESOL tuition on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Assess learner needs and adapt sessions accordingly
  • Support development of English language skills across all areas
  • Track progress and provide feedback where required
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with learners

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience (ESOL or English Language preferred)
  • Experience working with EAL/ESOL learners
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Relevant teaching qualification (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
