About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ESOL Tutor to provide high-quality, one-to-one tuition to learners in Bedford. Sessions will take place either in the pupil's home or within a school setting during school hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and tailored ESOL lessons to meet individual learner needs.
• Assess learners' current levels and create personalised learning plans.
• Support the development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Monitor and record learner progress and provide regular feedback.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families, schools, and other professionals.
• Adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles and abilities.

Requirements

• Experience teaching or tutoring ESOL/English as a Second Language.
• Relevant teaching, tutoring, ESOL, CELTA, TESOL, TEFL, or equivalent qualification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, learner-centred sessions.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Access to transport and willingness to travel within Bedford.

Desirable

• Experience working with children and young people.
• Experience supporting learners with additional needs.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
