ESOL Tutor – Bedford Area

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ESOL Tutor to provide high-quality English language tuition to learners in the Bedford area. Tuition sessions will take place either in the learner's home or within a school setting during school hours.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who can support learners in developing their English language skills, confidence, and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and tailored ESOL lessons to learners of varying abilities.
• Assess learners' needs and create individual learning plans.
• Monitor and record learner progress.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual learning requirements.
• Maintain professional communication with schools, parents/carers, and the tuition provider.
• Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements

• Experience teaching ESOL, EAL, English, or related subjects.
• A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, CELTA, TEFL, TESOL, or equivalent).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging one-to-one or small group sessions.
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Access to reliable transport is desirable.
