SEN Teacher – Enhanced Provision (Primary School)

Location: Central Birmingham
Contract: Full-time (via Teaching Personnel)
Start Date: September
Pay: To scale (after successful completion of 12 weeks)

Are you a qualified primary teacher with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Are you looking for a rewarding, full-time role within a supportive mainstream primary school?

Teaching Personnel, the school’s partnered recruitment agency, is working closely with a primary school in Central Birmingham to recruit an experienced SEN Teacher to work solely within the school’s Enhanced Provision. This role focuses on supporting pupils with additional needs while remaining part of the wider mainstream school community.

The Role:

  • Full-time teaching position starting in September

  • Working exclusively with SEN pupils within an enhanced provision setting

  • Planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs

  • Monitoring, assessing, and reporting pupil progress

  • Managing behaviour using positive and inclusive strategies

  • Working closely with the SENDCo, support staff, parents, and external professionals

  • Attending relevant school meetings and contributing to provision planning

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with induction completed

  • Proven experience working with SEN pupils (school-based experience essential)

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Ability to plan and adapt learning for a range of additional needs

  • Suitable references demonstrating effective teaching practice

  • Availability to attend interviews immediately

Please note: This role is not open to ECTs. However, Teaching Personnel does have alternative vacancies suitable for ECTs, so we still encourage you to apply if this applies to you.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
