Are you a passionate and knowledgeable English educator eager to ignite a love for language and literature in young minds?

TP Tutors is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic English teachers to provide focused one-to-one tuition to GCSE students in the Nottinghamshire area. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your expertise and empower students to excel in English Language and Literature within a flexible and supportive framework.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification with a specialism in English.
  • Possess proven experience in tuition or education, specifically at the GCSE level in English Language and Literature.
  • Are confident in working with students of varying abilities and learning styles in English, including those who may find literacy or literary analysis challenging.
  • Have a strong understanding of the GCSE English Language and Literature curricula and assessment objectives.
  • Possess a strong understanding of safeguarding principles and are committed to creating a safe learning environment.
  • Hold a valid DBS check and are subscribed to the update service.

As a GCSE English Tutor with TP Tutors you will:

  • Provide focused, one-to-one tuition in GCSE English Language and Literature.
  • Deliver engaging sessions in public libraries or at the student's home with guardian supervision.
  • Adapt your teaching approaches to address individual student needs, focusing on areas such as essay writing, comprehension, textual analysis, and creative writing.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that builds confidence and a genuine appreciation for English.
  • Make a tangible impact on a student's understanding, grades, and overall engagement with English.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
