Shape Futures: Become an English Tutor in Chesterfield (S44)!

Do you have a passion for inspiring a love of English in young people?

TP Tutors, a leading tutoring agency committed to delivering high-quality, personalised education, is looking for enthusiastic and skilled English Tutors to join our team in the Chesterfield (S44) area. You’ll be supporting students from KS2 to GCSE, helping them build confidence and succeed in English.


What You'll Be Doing

As an English Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and effective 1:1 English tuition outside the mainstream classroom
  • Support students in reading, writing, grammar, and literary analysis
  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons based on individual learning needs
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Help students prepare for exams and assessments, building confidence and skills


What We're Looking For

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  • Strong knowledge and passion for English language and literature
  • Experience in teaching, tutoring, or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly
  • The ability to create engaging and accessible learning materials
  • A DBS certificate (or willingness to apply and join the Update Service)


What We Offer

Competitive Pay: £25–£30 per hour (depending on experience and funding)
Flexible Hours: Monday to Friday, approximately 8:30 am – 3:30 pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
