An opportunity to work within the English department of a large secondary school - supporting pupils across various levels of learning ability.

  • Full-time English teacher.
  • January 2022 start date.
  • Secondary school based in Bolton.
  • Paid to teaching scale point (£25,714-£41,604 per annum).
  • Must hold QTS and have experience teaching English up to GCSE level previously.
  • Both newly qualified and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.

The incoming English teacher will be teaching a full timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE and will also be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities. The successful candidate will be required to attend parents evenings and staff CPD sessions.

You will be expected to prepare and deliver lessons to children at varying levels of learning ability including those with additional learning needs such as dyslexia.

The school has around 900 pupils on roll and is based in Bolton. It is easily accessible via the A56/M66 from surrounding areas such as Bury, Worsley and central Manchester. The school can also be accessed via public transport from neighbouring areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
