- Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and additional learning needs.
- Monitoring progress and using assessment to inform future planning.
- Creating a structured, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff.
- Contributing to EHCP outcomes and individual learning plans where required.
- Building strong relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, resilience and engagement.
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, attendance and achievement.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has recent experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4.
- Has experience working with pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism or other additional needs.
- Can confidently differentiate lessons to meet a wide range of abilities.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
