English Teacher – Secondary School, Leamington Spa (CV32)
Full Time | Paid to Scale | ASAP Start | Permanent Contract Available
We are seeking a dedicated, professional, and experienced English Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school based in Leamington Spa (CV32). This is a full-time role, with the opportunity for a permanent contract for the right candidate.
About the Role
You will deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons to secondary students, fostering a love of language and literature while ensuring strong academic progress across all ability levels. You will plan and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum, differentiating effectively to meet the individual needs of students.
Hours: Full Time - Mon-Fri (term-time only)
Rate of Pay: To Scale (MPS/UPS)
Location: Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, CV32
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons
- Assess and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
- Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment
- Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or related subject
- Extensive, recent experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching English
- Excellent classroom presence and behaviour management skills
- Organised, professional, and committed to supporting student success
- Experience supporting children with special educational or additional learning needs and the ability to differentiate lessons accordingly

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
