English Teacher – Essex
Full-Time | Long-Term or Permanent
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Required

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Qualified English Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Essex area. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who can deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering high-quality English lessons
- Teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available depending on experience)
- Creating an inclusive, positive learning environment
- Supporting students with varying abilities and needs
- Marking, assessing and contributing to curriculum development
- Upholding strong behaviour management in line with school policy
What We’re Looking For
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
- Ability to inspire, challenge and motivate learners
- Confident classroom and behaviour management
- Dedicated, professional and reliable approach
- Previous UK secondary school experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
