English Teacher – Essex
Full-Time | Long-Term or Permanent
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Required
Immediate or September Start

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Qualified English Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Essex area. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who can deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons across KS3 and KS4.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality English lessons
  • Teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available depending on experience)
  • Creating an inclusive, positive learning environment
  • Supporting students with varying abilities and needs
  • Marking, assessing and contributing to curriculum development
  • Upholding strong behaviour management in line with school policy

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential
  • Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
  • Ability to inspire, challenge and motivate learners
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management
  • Dedicated, professional and reliable approach
  • Previous UK secondary school experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
