Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Dorchester from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate English specialist who can inspire students and deliver engaging lessons across the secondary age range. The successful candidate will join a supportive department and play an important role in helping pupils develop their confidence, communication and literacy skills.

The Role

• Delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Planning and preparing lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback

• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Supporting pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential

• Working closely with colleagues within the English department and wider school

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Has experience teaching English in a secondary school setting

• Possesses strong subject knowledge across the KS3 and KS4 curriculum

• Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

• Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to high standards

• Is passionate about making English engaging and accessible for all learners
