English Teacher – Secondary School

Location: Weymouth
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience

Are you a passionate and dedicated English Teacher looking for a new opportunity from September? Teaching Personnel is working with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Weymouth who are looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about English and committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential.

The Role

  • Teaching English across KS3 and KS4

  • Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons

  • Supporting pupils to develop their literacy, reading and writing skills

  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress

  • Working collaboratively with the English department

  • Contributing to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching English within a secondary school

  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum

  • A positive and engaging approach to teaching

  • High expectations of behaviour and academic achievement

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
