Teacher of Music – Permanent Role
Location: Herefordshire
Salary: MPS/UPS
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025

A secondary school in Herefordshire is looking to appoint a dynamic and inspiring Teacher of Music to join their Expressive Arts faculty on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the school’s creative curriculum and contribute to its vibrant extra-curricular offer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to develop Key Stage 5 provision. You will lead engaging, practical lessons that encourage creativity, performance, and an appreciation for a wide range of musical styles and traditions.

The school has a dedicated music suite, including practice rooms, recording equipment, and instruments to support a rich and varied curriculum. Music plays a valued role in the life of the school, and students are encouraged to participate in choirs, ensembles, and school concerts.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold QTS and have a specialism in Music or a related subject

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • Be enthusiastic about contributing to wider school life

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
