English Teacher – Secondary School, Coventry (CV5)
Start Date: ASAP – After October Half Term
Contract: Full Time, Paid to Scale
Are you an enthusiastic and confident English Teacher looking for your next opportunity? A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Coventry (CV5) is seeking an experienced teacher of English to join their team after the October half term.
The successful candidate will have:
Excellent subject knowledge and a strong grasp of the national curriculum for English
The ability to teach English up to A-Level
Proven behaviour management skills and the confidence to maintain high classroom standards
A passion for inspiring students and helping them achieve their best
Experience working with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable, as this will support your ability to tailor lessons and apply effective behaviour management strategies.
You will be joining a supportive and forward-thinking department that values creativity, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching English at KS3, KS4, and ideally KS5
Strong classroom presence and the ability to build positive relationships with students
Commitment to high expectations and raising attainment
