The school is continuing on a strong improvement journey, with growing ambition, strengthening outcomes and a clear focus on creating a positive and respectful learning environment. Staff work in a calm, well-structured setting where high expectations and strong relationships underpin success. Students are encouraged not only to achieve academically but also to develop confidence, character and a love of learning.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that help students to:

  • Develop strong reading, writing and analytical skills

  • Explore literature with curiosity and critical thinking

  • Express themselves confidently and articulately

  • Build resilience and independence in their learning

You will be part of a collaborative English department that values creativity, consistency and professional trust.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching English at secondary level

  • Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons that stretch and support learners

  • Establish positive classroom routines and maintain high standards of behaviour

  • Share the school’s commitment to aspiration, respect and inclusive education

What the School Offers:

  • A supportive and close-knit school community in Northampton

  • Students who are recognised as individuals and encouraged to achieve their best

  • A purposeful environment where teaching and learning are prioritised

  • Access to ongoing professional development and career progression

  • Strong links with parents and carers to support student success

This opportunity would suit an English Teacher who is passionate about literacy, values meaningful relationships and wants to contribute to a school with clear ambition and direction.

If you are ready to make a lasting impact from the Easter term in a supportive Northampton school, we would be delighted to hear from you.
