A welcoming and supportive middle school in Dorchester is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher, or a teacher with relevant experience delivering English, to join their team from September.
This is a full-time position (5 days per week) covering Years 5–8 (KS2/KS3). The role is initially for the Autumn Term, with the potential to continue for the remainder of the academic year for the right candidate.

The Role
- Full-time English Teacher
- 5 days per week
- September start
- Initially covering the Autumn Term, with potential to extend for the full academic year
- Teaching English across Years 5–8 (KS2/KS3)
- Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons
- Supporting pupils of all abilities to achieve their full potential
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS or have relevant experience teaching English
- Be confident teaching across KS2 and KS3
- Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Inspire pupils with creative and engaging lessons
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Be committed to delivering high standards of teaching and learning
- Enjoy working as part of a supportive and dedicated team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
