English Teacher – KS2/KS3 | Dorchester

Inspire a love of English this September!

A welcoming and supportive middle school in Dorchester is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher, or a teacher with relevant experience delivering English, to join their team from September.

This is a full-time position (5 days per week) covering Years 5–8 (KS2/KS3). The role is initially for the Autumn Term, with the potential to continue for the remainder of the academic year for the right candidate.

The Role

  • Full-time English Teacher
  • 5 days per week
  • September start
  • Initially covering the Autumn Term, with potential to extend for the full academic year
  • Teaching English across Years 5–8 (KS2/KS3)
  • Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons
  • Supporting pupils of all abilities to achieve their full potential
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS or have relevant experience teaching English
  • Be confident teaching across KS2 and KS3
  • Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Inspire pupils with creative and engaging lessons
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Be committed to delivering high standards of teaching and learning
  • Enjoy working as part of a supportive and dedicated team
