English Teacher - Cannock 

Location: Cannock (WS6)
Contract: Permanent | Full-Time | Term Time + INSET Days
Salary: £32,000 - £48,000 (dependent on experience)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established secondary school in Cannock seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join their successful department. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is committed to delivering engaging lessons and helping students achieve their full potential.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Inspire students to develop confidence in reading, writing, and communication.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and school initiatives.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and pastoral support where appropriate.

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in English or a related subject.
  • A passion for teaching English and motivating young people.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Committed to achieving excellent outcomes for students.
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply.
