English Teachers Needed – Cannock Secondary Schools
Cannock, WS11 & WS12
£30,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Are you an enthusiastic English Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We're working with a number of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Cannock that are looking for passionate teachers to join their English departments.
Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT, we have long-term, permanent, maternity cover and flexible supply opportunities available to suit your career goals.
Your role will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with Key Stage 5 opportunities available in some schools.
- Inspiring students to develop confidence in reading, writing, speaking and communication through creative and engaging lessons.
- Preparing students for GCSE examinations by delivering high-quality teaching that supports progress and attainment.
- Assessing, marking and monitoring student work, providing constructive feedback to help pupils reach their full potential.
- Adapting lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to succeed.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages discussion, creativity and a love of literature.
- Working collaboratively with the wider English department to share ideas, resources and best practice.
- Building strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues to support academic achievement and personal development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
