Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting an English teacher on behalf of our client school located in Bolton.

  • Full time English teacher post from February 2018 (Earlier if possible)
  • Covering long term gap within their English department (Maternity cover - 9 to 12 months)
  • Delivering both KS3 and GCSE English to pupils ranging in ability
  • Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience

With a member of the English department due to go on maternity leave prior to February half term, this high achieving school have an upcoming long term temporary gap in the New Year. The school is average in size with 900 pupils on roll and was recently judged as 'Good' by Ofsted in 2016, with leadership and management being highlighted as a particular strength of the school.

The head of English wishes to appoint an English teacher who:

  • Holds UK QTS and a PGCE specialising in English
  • Is able to evidence a proven record of delivering 'Good' or 'Outstanding' teaching practice
  • Can consistently deliver engaging lessons to pupils of all abilities across KS3 and 4

The successful English teacher will be joining a well resourced and managed English department in a school which has consistently achieved 'Good' rating in previous Ofsted reports. The department is made up of 7 other members of staff and 2 full time subject specific support staff.

This school is located on the border of Farnworth and Little Lever, making it easily accessible via the M61 and M60 motorways. For non drivers there are strong public transport links from Bolton town centre and surrounding areas, Salford, Bury and Wigan.With the head of department looking to interview suitable teachers as soon as possible, interested applicants are encouraged to apply ASAP to ensure you don't miss out on this opportunity.
