English Cover Supervisor Secondary

Location: England, Greater London, Clapham

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £130 - £165 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supervise secondary school students in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across various subjects
  • Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe learning environment
  • Provide support to students with their learning and development
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with secondary school students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively

Education:

  • A-levels or equivalent qualifications
  • Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential

Experience:

  • Experience working in a school environment
  • Experience supporting student learning

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good understanding of the secondary school curriculum
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and approaches
  • Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification
