We’re Hiring! ELSA Teaching Assistant – Primary School
(Emotional Literacy Support Assistant)
Do you have a passion for supporting children’s wellbeing?
We’re looking for a caring, confident and creative ELSA Teaching Assistant to join one of our friendly primary schools and help our pupils thrive both emotionally and academically.
What you’ll do:
✨ Provide 1:1 and small-group emotional literacy sessions
✨ Help children develop confidence, resilience and positive relationships
✨ Support pupils with managing emotions, behaviour and social skills
✨ Work closely with class teachers, SENDCo and pastoral staff
✨ Record progress and contribute to wellbeing plans
✨ Offer general classroom support when required
We’re looking for someone who:
✔ Has completed (or is working towards) ELSA training
✔ Is nurturing, patient and approachable
✔ Can build strong, trusting relationships with children
✔ Communicates clearly with staff and families
✔ Is organised, reliable and committed to inclusion
✔ Has experience working in a primary school or similar setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
