Reception Teaching Assistant (Early Years)
Location: Primary School, Preston, Lancashire
Hours: Term Time Only | 8:30am – 3:20pm (Monday–Friday)
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Reception Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Preston, supporting children within an Early Years (Reception) class.
This is a term-time-only position, ideal for someone who is passionate about working with young children and helping them thrive during the very start of their educational journey.
The Role:

Supporting pupils within a Reception class through play-based and structured learning
-
Working closely with the class teacher to support learning activities and daily routines
-
Providing one-to-one and small-group support as required
-
Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
-
Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and developmental needs
Requirements:
-
Experience of supporting young children is essential, ideally within an Early Years setting
-
A caring, patient, and positive approach
-
Good communication and teamwork skills
-
A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
Faith School Commitment:
This is a faith school, and while experience or willingness to contribute towards collective worship would be advantageous, it is not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
