Autism, Speech and Language and Nurture

Supporting learning in the Early Years (EYFS)

Full time September start

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a client Primary School in South Liverpool (l25) who have an ever expanding EYFS unit. Within this, they have a number of children joining in September who have additional needs. As a result, they are looking for at least one SEN Teaching Assistant but possible 2, to join their EYFS department to work with children with Autism and Speech and Language needs. With the nature of the children, someone with experience of strategies, tactics and key communication methods that work with Autism and Speech and Language would be desirable. The EYFS unit have a very nurturing approach to learning so this is a key skill the school are looking for.

  • Creative outdoor learning environment.

The Role

-        Working with SEN Children on a 1:1 and small group basis.

-        EYFS unit with several Autistic Children – verbal and non verbal communicators.

-        Experience of communicating effectively with Autistic Children

-        PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)

-        School Contract Opportunity

This position would be to start in September and could lead to a school contract for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
