Early Years Practitioner – Primary School (Reading)

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Reading to recruit a passionate Early Years Practitioner to support pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about early childhood development and has experience or a strong interest in Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH).

The Role:

• Supporting children in Nursery or Reception within a primary school setting

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support, including pupils with SEN

• Assisting with learning through play and structured activities

• Supporting children’s social, emotional and behavioural development

• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and support staff

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working as an Early Years Practitioner, EYFS Teaching Assistant, Nursery Nurse, or similar

• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable

• A patient, caring and nurturing approach

• Good understanding of the EYFS framework

• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
