Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Sidmouth

Location: Sidmouth, Devon
Contract: Full-Time / Permanent
Salary: Competitive weekly pay
Start Date: May 2026 (or earlier by agreement)

Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Teacher looking to begin your teaching journey in a supportive and inspiring environment? We are seeking a passionate ECT to join our welcoming school community in the coastal town of Sidmouth.

About the Role

As an Early Career Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge pupils.

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.

  • Assess, monitor, and support the progress of all learners.

  • Work closely with experienced colleagues and mentors as part of the ECT induction programme.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or will achieve it before the start date.

  • Is passionate about teaching and learning.

  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills.

  • Is reflective, eager to learn, and committed to professional growth.

  • Values inclusivity and high expectations for all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
