Early Career Teacher (ECT)

Location: South Shields
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: £130–£165 per day (dependent on role requirements and experience)
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging and effective lessons within your specialist subject area
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
  • Supporting students to achieve their academic potential through high-quality teaching and learning
  • Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour management and safeguarding
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leaders to support student success

The Ideal Candidate

  • Hold, or are currently working towards, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Possess a bachelor's degree in their specialist subject area
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and a commitment to safeguarding
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service, or are willing to obtain one
