Pay: £130–£251 per day (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Gateshead to recruit a talented Health and Social Care Teacher. This full-time role offers the opportunity to teach motivated students across Key Stages 3 to 4 in a positive learning environment where your expertise will be valued.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Health and Social Care lessons across KS3–KS4.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to help learners achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the department and school community.

We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Health and Social Care.
  • Experience teaching within a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
