Teaching Personnel is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join one of our valued SEN partner schools in Cambridge. The school is seeking a committed and experienced professional to take on the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. This vital position involves supporting the Designated Safeguarding Lead in maintaining a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for all students.

The school is a specialist school for children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions aged between 5—19 years old.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead in managing safeguarding and child protection concerns
  • Assist staff with reporting and addressing child protection issues
  • Maintain accurate safeguarding records and ensure timely reporting in line with national guidance
  • Attend meetings for identified pupils and represent the school’s safeguarding views
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external professionals
  • Support staff training and ensure updates from Keeping Children Safe in Education are effectively implemented

The Ideal Candidate:

✔️ Passionate about supporting and safeguarding young people and children

✔️Previous DSL experience.

✔️Available Monday – Friday 8am-4pm (except Tuesdays to 5pm), Term Time only.
✔️ DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
✔️ Proactive, enthusiastic, and ready to make a difference!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
