Teaching Personnel are proud to be working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Northamptonshire to recruit an inspirational and enthusiastic Teacher of Design Technology for a September 2026 start.

This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking to develop their practice within a supportive and innovative department. Experience of teaching Art and/or Photography would be a significant advantage.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Design Technology or a related subject

  • Have experience teaching at KS3 and KS4

  • Demonstrate a strong track record of securing positive student outcomes

  • Be confident using IT to enhance teaching and learning

  • Be committed to continuous professional development

  • Be an effective form tutor who understands the importance of pastoral care

  • Champion a values-led education and contribute positively to the wider school community

  • Believe that students make the best progress when lessons are well planned and delivered to a high standard

You will join a welcoming and collaborative team that values creativity, innovation, and high-quality teaching practice.
