Are you an innovative and passionate Design Technology Teacher looking to take the next step in a school where DT is a popular and growing subject?

We are seeking to appoint, an enthusiastic, well-qualified teacher who is willing to teach all aspects of Design Technology. The school is a GOOD rated oftsed school based in the heart of Northampton The school is an oversubscribed mixed school with a superb department with up to date facilities and very close to transport links making it easily accessible.

The ideal candidate will be joining a forward thinking and high achieving Design and Technology Team which consists of 4 teaching and 2 members of support staff. This post is suitable for an ECT or for an experienced teacher. We would idealy like the candidate to have a few years experience teaching this in a Secondary school.

Role:

• Good knowledge of the KS3 to KS5 Design Technology Curriculum

• Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons

• Maintain a well-organised classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment

• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school

• Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback

• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
