Job description

Are you a qualified DT Teacher?

Can you confidently teach food technology?

 

We are in collaboration with a mainstream secondary school in the heart of Coventry, based in CV2 to appoint a qualified and experienced DT teacher.

You will be experienced and well-rounded and will have developed expertise from previous roles, that you can use to help you succeed within this role.

 

The school are seeking a DT teacher who can specialise in food technology ideally and can deliver a range of engaging lessons with pupil safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything.

 

Ideal Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching DT and has a broad understanding of the DT specialisms

Specialises in food technology

Confident behaviour management skills & strong classroom presence

Excellent subject and curriculum based knowledge

Can commit to a full time position 

Enhanced, child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

 

Finer Details:

Hours- full time, term-time only

Rate of pay- to scale (MPS/UPS)

Location- Coventry, CV2

Start Date- ASAP!

 

If you can:

- confidently deliver a range of DT lessons to Yrs 7-11

- manage classroom behaviour effectively

- teach food technology and any other DT specialisms

- engage various learners and adapt lessons to suit individual needs

- work closely to support children with special educational needs
