Job description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Curriculum Support Assistant to join our team in a progressive mainstream secondary school. This role is ideal for candidates looking to gain valuable school-based experience and develop a career in education.

You will work closely with teachers to support student learning, assist with classroom activities, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, understand the day-to-day life of a secondary school, and make a real difference to students’ learning and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in the delivery of lessons and learning activities

  • Work with individuals or small groups of students to reinforce learning

  • Help create an inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom environment

  • Assist with preparation of resources and classroom management

  • Support students’ social and emotional development as needed

About You

  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable

  • Interested in pursuing a career in education or working with young people

  • Ability to support a range of learners, including those with additional needs

  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
