Job description

Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young people in their learning? We are looking for a Curriculum Support Assistant to work flexibly across a number of secondary schools in the Rochdale area, delivering pre-planned work to KS3 classes in the absence of the class teacher.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone considering a future career in teaching, or for individuals with strong classroom management skills who enjoy working with young people.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-set lessons across a variety of subjects to KS3 students

  • Maintain a positive and focused learning environment

  • Follow school policies and routines

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff as required

  • Adapt quickly to new settings and classrooms

What We’re Looking For:

  • Confident communicator with strong behaviour management

  • Ability to engage and motivate students

  • Flexible and reliable, with a proactive attitude

  • Experience working with young people (school-based or otherwise) is desirable

  • A passion for education and supporting student progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
