What the Role Involves
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task with set work
- Manage behaviour positively and consistently
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects—no subject specialism required
- Build relationships with staff and students to contribute to a supportive school environment
- Provide feedback to teachers and senior leaders after each lesson
- Support with registration, corridor duties, and occasional small-group interventions
What We’re Looking For
You might be a perfect fit if you:
- Live locally to the Wirral or can travel easily to the area
- Have prior experience in education or strong transferable experience (youth work, coaching, mentoring, customer-facing roles, childcare, etc.)
- Enjoy working with young people and can communicate clearly and confidently
- Can remain calm, assertive, and positive in a busy school environment
- Are looking for flexible work—day-to-day, part-time or full-time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
