We are working with welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Macclesfield that are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join them ASAP on a long-term, full-time basis.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Whether you already have school experience or come from a background in coaching, mentoring, youth work, care, or support work, we would love to hear from you.
You will play a key role in supporting the school day, helping students stay engaged, focused, and supported while teachers are absent.
The role:
• Full-time, long-term Cover Supervisor opportunities across secondary schools in Macclesfield
• ASAP starts available
• Supervising pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
• Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students remain engaged in learning
• Supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Providing additional support throughout the school day where required
• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience working with children or young people
• Is confident leading groups and communicating clearly
• Can remain calm, professional, and adaptable
• Has strong behaviour management skills or the willingness to develop them
• Is proactive, reliable, and approachable
• Has a genuine passion for supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
