Are you an aspiring teacher, a recent graduate, or a natural leader looking to make an impact in Luton? Teaching Personnel is looking for confident, motivated, and charismatic Cover Supervisors to take charge of the classroom in our partner secondary schools across Luton. This isn't just a job; it’s the perfect "stepping stone" for anyone looking to build professional confidence, master classroom management, and gain high-volume experience before a PGCE or formal teaching career.
What Makes This Role Incredible?
- Zero Planning, Maximum Impact: You don't need to be a subject expert! The lessons are already set—your job is to lead the room and keep students on track.
- Work Where You Live: We work with a huge variety of schools in Luton, meaning less time commuting and more time making a difference.
- Total Flexibility: You choose when you work. Whether you want full-time stability or flexible days to fit around your life, we’ve got you covered.
- Professional Growth: Get access to exclusive CPD training to sharpen your skills and make your CV shine for future teaching qualifications.
- Supportive Team: You’ll have a dedicated local consultant (Kasia) who knows the Luton schools inside out and will find the perfect fit for you.
Your Typical Day
As a Cover Supervisor, you are the "Face of the Classroom." Your mission is to:
- Lead the Room: Manage student behavior and keep the environment positive and focused.
- Facilitate Success: Deliver pre-planned lessons across different subjects—variety is the spice of life!
- Inspire Students: Help teenagers stay engaged, answer their questions, and encourage them to reach their potential.
- Collaborate: Provide quick feedback to the school on how the day went.
Who are we looking for?
- Confidence: You aren't afraid to stand at the front of a room and command attention.
- Experience: Maybe you’ve done coaching, youth work, tutoring, or even military/emergency services. If you can lead, we want you!
- Adaptability: You thrive in fast-paced environments and stay calm under pressure.
- Presence: We value personality and reliability above all else. A degree or A-Levels are preferred, but your "can-do" attitude is what counts.
Important: Must hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS check and be a UK resident.
