Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a recent Maths Graduate to join one of our client schools in Manchester as a Teaching Assistant, to support their pupils who are struggling the most in preparation for their examinations.
If you are aiming to become a fully qualified teacher, this will be an ideal opportunity for you to gain experience within a classroom setting that will allow you to develop your skills. Through Teaching Personnel, there will be opportunities to be placed onto additional training courses to support you through your career development. There will also be opportunities to progress onto other positions through Teaching Personnel.
This position will be a full-time position, starting ASAP.
The salary for this position will be between £385 and £450 per week.
In order to be cleared for work, you must complete the following steps:
- You must undergo a fully enhanced DBS check to ensure that you do not have any criminal convictions that would prevent you from working with young people.
- Once this check has been completed, you will be required to place it onto the update service to ensure that it remains active.
- You will be required to complete a short online safeguarding course to prepare you to support young people.
- You will also be required to provide a minimum of two employment-based references.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the pupils who are struggling more than their peers in their Maths lessons. You will work in small groups of pupils or on a one-to-one basis to ensure that the pupils are gaining more support to allow them to achieve their potential. Achieving a GCSE in Maths can create more opportunities for pupils in their lives after school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
