As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom to maintain continuity of learning when teachers are absent. You’ll play a vital role in keeping students engaged, motivated and on track, becoming a positive role model and a familiar face in the school.

This is an exciting opportunity for aspiring teachers, graduates or experienced education professionals looking to make a real impact in secondary education across Walsall.

What youll be doing: 

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Create a positive, inclusive and purposeful learning environment

• Support students to stay focused and achieve their best

• Liaise with teaching staff and report on lesson outcomes

• Adapt confidently to different year groups and classroom settings

What were looking for: 

• A confident communicator with strong classroom presence

• Experience working with children or young people (education, youth work, coaching or similar)

• The ability to think on your feet and stay calm under pressure

• A genuine passion for education and student development

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential)

• A degree or teaching-related qualification (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
