Teaching Personnel are working closely with secondary schools across Teesside who are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to start from January 2026.

This role is ideal for graduates, unqualified teachers, or individuals considering a future career in education. It offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience before pursuing teacher training or a PGCE.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during teacher absence and ensuring pupils remain engaged with pre-set work.

You will work across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting students of varying abilities while developing your classroom management and behaviour strategies in a real school environment.

The Role of a Cover Supervisor

• Deliver and supervise pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects
