Job description

About the Role:

We are currently seeking full-time Cover Teachers to work across our client schools in and around Greater Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for fully qualified teachers and experienced cover supervisors to make a real impact in local classrooms. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of regular teachers, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task with their pre-set work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes of various subjects and year groups (KS3 and KS4).
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students understand the tasks set.
  • Manage classroom behaviour to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Provide feedback to the regular class teacher about student progress and behaviour.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 A*- C grades at GCSE, including English and Maths.
  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom settings.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
