As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning and follow the work that has been set.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subject areas.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Ensure students stay on task and complete assigned work.
• Support students with questions relating to lesson instructions.
• Report back to teaching staff on student progress, behaviour, and lesson outcomes.
• Uphold school policies and contribute to the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have experience working with young people, or transferable experience from coaching, mentoring, tutoring, youth work, or similar backgrounds.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are confident leading a classroom and managing behaviour effectively.
• Can remain calm, professional, and adaptable in different situations.
• Have a genuine interest in supporting students' education and development.
• Hold a degree or relevant experience (desirable but not essential).
