Cover Supervisor
Grammar School, Sevenoaks
Non Teaching Staff Role
Full time or Part time, Term time only

We are seeking a reliable and professional Cover Supervisor to join our successful grammar school in Sevenoaks. This is a non teaching role, supporting the smooth running of the school by supervising classes during the short term absence of teaching staff.

The Cover Supervisor’s role is to oversee students as they complete pre set work, maintain a calm and orderly classroom environment and uphold the school’s high standards of behaviour and conduct. No planning, marking or teaching is required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising whole classes across a range of subjects

  • Ensuring students remain on task with work provided

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Supporting pupils to work independently

  • Acting as a positive role model at all times

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working with secondary aged students, preferably in a school setting

  • Be confident, organised and calm when supervising groups

  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Be flexible and professional

  • Support the ethos and expectations of a grammar school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
