Cover Supervisor – Salisbury

Salary: £95–£125 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time / Temporary (potential for permanent)
Location: Salisbury

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant school community in the Salisbury area. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and looking to develop their classroom experience.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring continuity of learning using pre-set work
  • Maintain a calm, productive classroom atmosphere and keep pupils on task
  • Support students across a range of subjects and key stages
  • Manage behaviour in line with school policies
  • Provide additional support duties when not covering classes (as required)

About You

Ideally, you will:

  • Have a passion for education and supporting young people
  • Be confident, calm and able to maintain a positive learning environment
  • Be adaptable and comfortable teaching a range of subjects
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and a patient demeanour
  • Build strong rapport with both students and staff
  • Enjoy working in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment

Requirements

  • Experience working with young people is desirable, though not essential—training available
  • All applicants must have appropriate qualifications and complete safeguarding checks (DBS) in line with DfE guidance

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
