Job description

Within the rural heart of Hampshire, is a well-established, driven secondary school with amazing community links and external opportunities looking for an experience and dedicated Cover supervisor to join their excellent team.

This opportunity is perfect for an educator looking to gain experience within a forward thinking secondary school, with potential for grow both in and out of the classroom.

The Role

You will be responsible for taking control of classes ages 11-16, ensuring there learning continues with the absence of their normal teacher. Each lesson will be pre planed for you, allowing for you to focus on the delivery of the lessons, manage the classrooms in line with the respective schools policies, and continue to create a positive environment for learning. In addition, this role may require you to provide support to students with special educational needs.

The ideal candidate

  • Experience working with Secondary aged students
  • Have a calm demeaner
  • Ability to adapt to each given classroom and react with speed and clarity
  • Strong and confident communicant skills both 1 to 1 and the class as a whole
  • Genuine enthusiasm for education
  • Flexibility around subjects you will be delivering

Working Hours/ Benefits

  • Competitive daily rates
  • Part time between Monday to Friday
  • Potential opportunities for full time positions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
